Ferret

Ferret is a wonderful creature, I'm so in love with this smart and cuddle fury animal. Ferrets have a long and slender body covered with brown, black, white, or mixed fur ... Average length is 20 inches including a 5 inch tail. They weigh 1.5 to 4 pounds with males substantially larger than females Ferrets are crepuscular, which means they spend 14–18 hours a day asleep and are most active around the hours of dawn and dusk

The fur of the ferret is usually brownish, although many variations of colors and patterns exist. The rarest variety is the albino (white fur and pink eyes). Some common colors that may be seen in ferrets include sable, chocolate, silver and cinnamon with patterns such as mitts (white feet), panda (white head ), badger (white blaze) and Siamese (dark legs and tail)

However, ferret have a very husky smell which not many people like it or can stand smelling it. Ferret basically are omnivores and in the wild they are excellent predetor. However my home ferret, i feed them with the same cat biscuit from japan that i feed my hedgehogs. Occasionally i feed them with some soft boiled chicken and some fruits.

Hedgehog

Hedgehog is a tiny spiny mammals that is so cute and unique, it can lived for so many years. My serious opinion is that hedgehog is like one of my favourite pet as it is easy to maintain and take care plus it is hard to die, sometimes i had to go outstation for 2 days and within that period the food in my hedgehies bowl is finished but they still can manage it. ^^

Hedgehog that i got from my breeder are the common hedgehog than you can get from the pet store, we have 4 different colours that we can provide :

1) Salt Pepper ( Black & White )
2) Albino ( White )
3) Cinnamon ( Light Brown )
4) Special Color ( When they come from mix parent )

I loved hedgehogs as they are easy to take care and dispite they have tiny spikes on its back, it is still fine for me touching, carrying and playing with it. Hedgehog are like hamster they need those wood shaving as bedding. Hedgehog are noctournal animal so pratically sleep alot during the day ( * do not disturb too much when they sleep during the day, they might get stress ).

As for dietry you do not need to spend alot on buying their food from the pet store that cost alot, for myself and many other breeder that i know, we basically feed them with cat/dog biscuit that is good quality and rich in nutrients and protein. As for me, i called my cat biscuit " Power Feed " as they increase the size and as it say power for my hedgies as it has alot of protein and nutrients. However, mine have to be import from Japan as it is not available in Malaysia. But dont worry those cat/dog biscuit with good quality are fine.

I also feed my hedgies with meal wroms once or twice a weeks as it is good for them, it is rich in protein and they loves it alot. Once in a while i put some apple for them to lick those sweet apple juice.

I have a weird habit of showering my hedgies which not many people do. And I also noticed my hedgies do enjoy their bath time every week.

Prairie Dog

Prairie Dog is a type of rodent, commanly known as ground burrowing rodent that lived in the grassland of North America. Prairie Dog is not a type of dog that many people have mistakenly thought of due to its name. The word dog given to its name is because Prairie Dog make a warning sounds similar to a dog's bark. Prairie Dog are about rabbit size and are active, playful and strong rodents that can make wonderful, affectionate pets when socialized properly and given lots of attention. However, they do demand a lot of care and attention, and with a lifespan of 8-12 years, prairie dogs represent a significant commitment.

Based on my experience of keeping a prairie dog, you must be careful for the first time as it is easily scared and they do bite with the teeth similar to a rabbit teeth. However once they get used to ur scent and are bond to you, they are such a cute and lovely pet as they follow you around with they funny walk and that big chubby look.

As or dietry, I feed my prairie dog with sunflower seeds ( kuaci ) that you can easily buy from the pet store ( * PS the sunflower seeds from the pet store and the ones at the market are different ), they really loved sunflower seeds alot, and at least 3 times a week i feed them with alfafa hay. Once in awhile i try giving them some fresh vegetables and fruits to add more vitamins.

Hi there to my viewers, in my blog I also will post some of my pets that I've kept and some that are for sale. I'm doing this as my hobby. Ever since I was a young boy, I loves all sort of animals. Now I managed my own pets business whereby me and my friend breed and supply some pets. Our price are also reasonable and usually cheaper than the market as I want people out there to experience loving their pet the same as I do .I also will give some of my own personal suggestion and how to keep on the pets that I've post.
